Our History

Merle Regnier founded Merles Water Conditioning in 1959. He understood that the people of North St. Paul needed a solution to the hard water in the area, so he used his connections to provide for his community and for his family. Merle's extraordinary drive and excellent work ethic naturally lent itself to the demands of a growing business. As Merles Water Conditioning developed, so did Merle's great reputation as a businessman of integrity.

Throughout more than 50 years of service, Merles Water Conditioning has grown along side the water softening and filtration industry, resulting in a company with an unprecedented depth and breadth of knowledge and experience.

Today, three of Merle's sons—Dave, John & Joe—carry on the family business by providing excellent customer service and support for every client. As the third generation joins the ranks, Merles Water Conditioning continues to provide the best services and technology. We work hard everyday to provide our Twin Cities residential and consumer clients with the peace of mind that grows out of a partnership rooted in solutions, technology and support.
