- The Vortech Distributor creates a cyclone action during the softener's cleaning cycle. This action keeps the softening media (resin) cleaner. The Vortech Distributor is especially beneficial for water high in iron and manganese, such as well water. - The Electronic Meter Demand allows the system to regenerate based on usage. It has optional Calendar Clock or Metered with Day Override for water with high mineral content such as iron to ensure the system is cleaning often enough.
- The ProMate 6.5 uses upflow or counter-current regeneration, passing the regenerate through unused resin at the bottom of the tank, pushing the hardness minerals up through the exhausted portion of the resin bed for a more efficient regeneration.This allows the water leaving the tank during service to pass through the most efficient zone at the bottom of the tank. - Comprehensive Data Storage gives you access to data on Peak Flow (Gallons Per Minute) and Peak Usage (Gallons Per Day) for the past 63 individual days as well as Total Number of Regenerations, Days Since Last Regeneration and Gallons Since Last Regeneration.
- The Variable Reserve uses stored data of your daily usages, allowing it to use as much of its available capacity as possible before triggering regeneration.
- A lot of salt softeners use as little salt as possible in an attempt to be more efficient. However, this negatively affects the system's softening media over time. The Alternate Salt Fill Trigger allows you to balance efficiency and long-term system care by providing a liberal dosage after a programable number of regenerations.
